I took my truck in for its 2nd oil change at approximately 9900 miles. I waited in the dealership for it to be completed so I was there the entire time. At some point while they were performing the service they hit the truck with another vehicle creating a noticeable dent and scratch. The service manager never informed me while I was there and even went through my paperwork at the end of the service and reviewed with me what they did, including washing the vehicle, over the dent they just created. When I got home I noticed the damage and was in the process of calling them when I finally received a phone call to let me know--approximately an hour later. When I asked why they did not let me know immediately since I was waiting in the dealership, they claimed they mistakenly got the wrong customer vehicle and were trying to contact someone else (which in my opinion is just as big of an error since they now admitted to losing control of the vehicles in their care). It seems to me they did not want to address the situation and waited for me to leave the dealership so they could address by phone. Now I have a 6 month old vehicle that needs body work. I do understand accidents happen and I consider myself a very reasonable person, but I find their professionalism in communicating this to me to be totally unprofessional and unacceptable. I was in the dealership the entire time and should have been contacted immediately as it happened. As a customer who has purchased 5 cars in 7 years from Waltrip Automotive group, I am re-thinking where the next one might come from. If they are not courteous enough to inform me while I am there, what else could they be withholding???
The attended was amazing. Very intelligent and problem solver. Always willing to go above my expectations. I don’t remember his name, but for sure he was really helpful. I will go back there in the future because if him. He is a 5 star plus
We had a wonderful experience with Jonathan Strickland as our salesman. He was very friendly and personable. He had answers for all of our questions. He knew what he was doing which made our decision to purchase our vehicle that day an easy decision. It was a pleasure working with him and would definitely buy from him again. It was just a great experience for our first time buying a GMC!
